Solution to “course material” failed to be opened
The learning platform will use open course materials in a pop-up window for viewing. However, browsers block pop-up windows due to security concerns, which may prevent you from opening your course material successfully. In this case, follow the steps below based on your browser type to turn off the pop-up blocker in order for your course material to be opened for viewing.
>> Google Chrome
1. Launch Google Chrome.
2. On the top right corner, click the “Customize and Manage Google Chrome” icon and “Settings”.
3. In the “Settings” window, click “Display Advanced Settings”.
4. Under “Privacy”, click “Content Settings”.
5. In the “Content Settings” window, scroll down to “Pop-out Window” and select “Allow pop-up window in all sites”.
6. Click “Finish”.
>> Microsoft Internet Explorer
1. Launch Internet Explorer.
2. On the top right corner of the window, click the “Setting” icon and select “Internet Options”.
3. Under the “Pop-up Blocker” in the “Privacy” tab, select “Turn on Pop-up Blocker”.
4. Click “Settings” to configure the settings of the Pop-up Blocker.
5. Under the “Blocking Level” in the “Pop-up Blocker Settings” window, select required setting values from the drop-down list and click “Close”.
6. Click “Apply” and “OK”.

1. Launch Firefox.
2. On the top right corner, click the “Open Menu” icon and “Options”.
3. Under the “Properties” tab in the “Options” window, select “Block pop-up window”.

1. Start Safari for Mac
2. In the Menu Bar, click Safari and “Preferences”.
3. In the “Security” tab, make sure “block pop-ups” next to “page content” is selected.
